Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is hyping parking fee at Entebbe International Airport. Starting from November 1, 2024, all people using the Airport will experience will meet the revised parking rates.
UCAA move is aimed at support the ongoing investment in upgrading airport facilities for a better passenger experience.
The new revised parking rates will double that currently paid rates which were revised in 2009.
under the revised rates saloon cars and station wagons will be charged Shs 5,000 for the first hour from Shs 2,000, vans and minibuses will be charged Shs 8,000 from Shs 4,000.
And larger vehicles, including Lorries, trailers, trucks, and buses, will have a starting charge of Shs 10,000 from Shs 5,000.
For the additional hour from the first hour will, each hour will cost 1,000 shillings.
Vianney Luggya, Public Affairs Manager, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, addressing about the reviesed rates emphasized the need for the revisions to support infrastructure upgrades.
“The new parking fees are part of our broader efforts to enhance the passenger experience by improving facilities. The rates have remained unchanged for over a decade, and these adjustments are crucial for us to keep pace with the growth in passenger numbers and operational demands,” said Luggya.
According to the officials, the revisions will help the Airport to continue provide high-quality service meeting the growing needs of both passengers and visitors.
