The super canopy skyway is something adventurous for any traveler who would wish for a special jungle outing encounter. It’s not an adventures to the experienced, rather adventurous and set take this refreshing game. The thrill of ziplining involves climbing lofty trees and sliding to the other side of the forest with unusual roars on a well-tightened line.  The most thrilling ziplining experience in Uganda is found at Mabira, where you may ascend to big, ancient trees and fly with monkeys and forest birds.

The big canopy skyway is something that every explorer who wants to have a different jungle vacation experience should attempt.   The bold and adventurous are the ones who should play this game, not the seasoned.

One of the few real tropical forests still standing in the central Ugandan region is Mabira Forest.  It is situated in the Buikwe area, approximately 60 miles east of the capital of Kampala.  It’s a fun place to stop on the way to Jinja, the epicenter of exhilarating experiences.  It is worth stopping by this magnificent Mabira woodland because of its unique and historic atmosphere.

In 2014, Mabira opened Uganda’s first ziplining facility.  There is no other place in Uganda where you may experience this spectacular canopy skyway ziplining.  For vacationers traveling to Jinja, swinging on ropes linked to canopies is a fascinating activity.

The Griffin Falls in Mabira Forest Buikwe district, which is only a few kilometers away from the main Jinja road, and Lugazi municipality are the locations for ziplining adventures.  A 20-meter chain of five carefully placed zip lines is ready to provide that endearing adventure.

How is zip line done?

As they travel near the starting place, guests are prepared for the adventure with a little physical activity before trekking to the starting spot. Stair climbing alone is sufficient to prepare one for adventure.

Simply walk to the beginning of the adventure, then use the spikes to climb the towering Kirundu tree to the tabletop platform, which is about 60 feet above the ground and has a swinging canopy.  The supportive trapping gears are then tied around you, and a black strap and zip line trolley are attached to the cable that leads into the unknown.  Before the turn is lead, you put on the helmet to protect yourself from foreign items like branches.  There is a moment to commit the second last experience to memory as the one-way swing continues on two separate wires, each 30 and 40 meters long, linking to the final third tree.

Following that, you came to the realization that zip lining is more appropriate for extreme adventure seekers than for those with weak hearts.  There are no concerns regarding the adventure’s safety because this exhilarating zipline is run in accordance with international standards and was examined and approved as safe by the Uganda Engineering Board prior to its launch.  The guides have received extensive training in all areas, so they will handle this dinner excursion with grace.

For rovers who want to go on an adventure, there are guidelines, though.  Pregnant women, anybody experiencing lightheadedness, seizures, or any other harmful condition should avoid it.  Every day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the adventure is conducted, and another session begins from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
